Just thought I'd show you just how feeble I was on Tuesday haha. This is almost tongue in cheek because I know I'm not going to get any compassion from you guys. 😂😂 I couldn't move 130kg that day, I tried twice. So I just admitted defeat and dropped down to 120kg, which is something that I hate but it was either that or don't lift at all lol. And I wasn't even that great on 120!!! Look at my face when I lift the bar - I seriously expected 120 to fly off the floor lol. But it didn't lol. So my 130x4 two months back had gone back to 120x5. I know I wasn't optimally fuelled and hadn't been sleeping well either, so I shouldn't be too hard on myself. But sometimes I actually think, why am I even chasing my PBs on deadlifts? I could just stick to bodybuilding? And then I think why not?! Deadlifts make me feel good and that feeling when I've gotten stronger and can move (close to) twice my body weight is pretty amazing! I've done it before, who knows, maybe I'll be able to do it again. But then again I also like having a few days off the gym sometimes so I could spend more time with Silver. ☺️ And when I put it this way, the weight on my bar immediately seems insignificant! 💞
So stay hungry in the gym; it's fun this way! But don't let some stupid number get to you. Me not wanting to go near 120kg when I can't do 130 is like turning down £120 just because I can't have £130 😂 That puts it into perspective, doesn't it? 😎
