I wish I could take a "before" & "after" photo of my mind throughout this fitness thing that has captivated and changed me so.

Because, yeah, abs and biceps and hip-to-waist ratios are cool and very "instagrammy." They draw a lot of attention and are fun to look at, and it'd be a lie to say I haven't enjoyed fitting into my clothes a little better and feeling more confident in my skin.
•
But that's not my favorite part about fitness. This- this photo right here- this is my favorite part.
•
The MIND I've grown and cultivated; the peace I'm able to find in myself, without needing or expecting someone/something else to give that to me; the mental strength to peel myself out of bed before the sun comes up & keep my eyes open even when I want to quit and call it a night... that's my favorite part. That's what I'm most proud of.

But there's no way to depict that in a social media square. There's no way I can really show you how different I feel, but I can continue to share my thoughts and journey here, and that's what I'll do.
