Mindset I've appreciated more and more the importance of continually learning and educating oneself. This doesn't have to be formal education or courses; it could be observing another person in your profession, it could be acting as the consumer or client, it could be analysing the success and failures of another business. But what's paramount is that you need a mindset... A GROWTH MINDSET. This past weekend I attended a Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation (DNS) course from the Czech institute (more on this later). I was surrounded by physiotherapists, osteopaths, and chiropractors. If I’m being completely honest, I was a complete anomaly in a somewhat homogenous group. But it challenged me. It forced me to think differently, it made me nervous, it made me ask more questions, it made me listen more attentively. We can learn a lot from stepping outside our normal scope of practise. Sometimes we should try and look at things from a different angle, or through someone else’s perspective - that way we can truly upgrade our findings and eventually prescriptions. Thanks @coach_michael_bann for recommending the course. I’m finally starting to piece together some of the concepts we discussed... Lots more to come though.
